email from Ashanti Alston re: Recent Arrests...

"Arrests made in 1971 police killing tied to Black Panthers" can be found here: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/CEDIB/CONFIG~1/Temp/InfoshopNews-Arrestsmadein1971policekillingtiedtoBlackPanthers.htm
The latest news is that the arrests come from *one* case--the 1971 killing of police in San Francisco--with additional "conspiracy"-type charges related to that case that reach outside SF.
Ashanti Alston, a former member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, now a prominent black anarchist thinker and speaker, recently sent out this communqué via email.

"Folks, sorry i dont have more info but it is coming. i ask all of you for your help. spread the word. be ready as we would like to have an immediate response with protest and press conference.

please help spread the word. please rally folks if you can pull together a protest, and please stay in touch with us. we shold have a more coordinated contact for you very soon.
